S is for Slalom + Stephanie

BIG News! I'm starting a new job in August with Slalom Consulting in their Organizational Effectiveness discipline (think: Change Management, Organizational Design/Development, Employee Culture/Psychology, Strategic Communication/Delivery, Technology/Process Improvement, Employee Engagement/Development, and beyond!)

Almost 3 years ago, I met with a friend at Slalom to see how I could become a part of the team that gets paid to do this work for companies in Silicon Valley every day. I would never have expected the twists and turns my career path would take to get here (ironically like a slalom ski race in some ways), but I'm grateful that things are clicking into place and have conditioned me for this exciting, new chapter! While I'm certainly no great skier, I do love a good metaphor. This video of Gold Medalist, Lindsey Vonn showing her prowess slalom skiing shares many of the same concepts of the sport that has parallels to the work I'm passionate about like designing with a well-thought strategy out of the gate, agility in anticipation of targets, conditioning practice for speed, and beautiful to behold when done by a pro!
